Networking Group Reviews:

There are many different networking organizations across Canada, some of them are more effective than others, depending on your goals. This discussion area is for entrepreneurs to share their impressions of the groups they have experienced, online and off, and to make recommendations to other business owners.

Some ideas for what to post:

  • the type of members (small business owners, industry-specific, a mix of sectors and business types);
  • the type of events they hold;
  • format of the events (in as much detail as you would like);
  • their expectations of members;
  • what did or didn't work for you about a group or event; and
  • who you think this group would be a good match for.

    Networking Ideas for the Summer - posted by Wendy J Woods
    Yes things slow down in the summer but it's also a great time to connect with your network. Here are a few ideas to help keep your networking in full swing this summer:

    * Talking about swing - invite your contact(s) to join you in an activity that you enjoy - golf, tennis, sailing.

    * Host a simple event and invite a ton of people from your network - have a BBQ at home or in a park or drinks on the patio to help keep costs down

    * Invite others to join you at a public event like
