Past Events in the Entrepreneur Series

Learn at L'Espresso launched on April 19, 2006 to great acclaim. We started on a high note and intend to keep getting better!

The food at L'Espresso is excellent - and that's not just our opinion; "excellent" was the most common result on the feedback sheets. The crowd is a good mix of entrepreneurial types, and the atmosphere was energized. Some attendees stayed and networked as late as 11:30pm

Join us for the next session on June 21! Don't miss a fun and productive evening! Reserve your ticket to the next event now!

April 19, 2006 - Network to Improve Your Net Worth:
Easy Ways to Make Genuine and Lasting Connections

Our first event featured Wendy Woods, a Principal at Watershed Training Solutions, and the founder of the Motivational Café. She's showed us some fabulous ways to make a lasting impression, and the 3 critical keys of networking and ways to connect with new people.

Wendy also officially launched the Canada's Networker of the Year campaign, which will see one skilled networker win a Caribbean cruise for two from TravelOnly.

May 17, 2006 - Dreams, Visions, and Plans:
Distinguish between them and create an executable plan.

Our second event featured Stephen van Beek leading us through a practical session of business self-analysis. He asked the fundamental question: "How prepared are you to do what it takes to make your business a success?" and then gave us the follow-up questions to really answer it honestly.

More than just a SWOT analysis, this workshop was designed to make us think about the internal and external influences on our businesses and leadership (something that is reflected in the photos). The questions led us to see where we need to pick up additional skills, or to find the people with the complementary skills to help up succeed.

After all the contemplation, hearty bodies continued with the networking they had started before the presentation.
